Indiana 911 Service Restored After Statewide Outage

All counties in Indiana have reported that 911 service has been restored as of Thursday night. 911 service was disrupted over a large part of the state including several counties in central Indiana on Wednesday, December 14, 2023, due to a technical issue.
No Notices Sent Of Outage
The Indiana Statewide 911 Board did not send out any notices about the outage, but local news outlets and social media users reported the issue. The board confirmed the outage on Tuesday evening and said it was working to resolve the issue. The cause of the outage is still under investigation.
Officials are urging residents to call 911 only in the event of an emergency. If you are experiencing a non-emergency situation, please contact your local police department or fire department.
